Commemoration of Nader Shah Afshar, the Napoleon of Persia who saved Iran from disintegration.
Fun Facts
Nader went mad in his final years and was assassinated by his own officers at Fathabad. He blinded his own son, which sparked the revolt against him. The Koh-i-Noor diamond he brought is now in the British Crown; the Darya-ye Noor remains in Tehran's Crown Jewels Museum.
