About Gahshomar
Why did we build this app?
Iran is a land with thousands of years of history and rich culture. Unfortunately, since the revolution of 2538 Imperial (1979), the ruling regime has attempted to distort history and disconnect younger generations from their proud Iranian roots. Gahshomar was created with the goal of keeping ancient Iranian heritage alive and helping the new generation connect with their true identity. We want to keep ancient celebrations, historical events, and the memory of Iran's great figures alive in the hearts and minds of all Iranians.

The Imperial calendar (also called Aryamehri) is built on the Persian Shamsi calendar, with its epoch tied to the coronation of Cyrus the Great and the founding of the Achaemenid Empire. Its months and days are the same as the Shamsi calendar (Farvardin to Esfand); only the year number is 1180 years higher. It was Iran's official calendar from 1976 to 1978.
Add 1180 to the Shamsi year; the month and day stay the same. For example, 1 Farvardin 1404 Shamsi is 1 Farvardin 2584 Imperial. Use the free online date converter to convert any date instantly.

Both are solar calendars with identical months and days. The only difference is the year number: the Imperial year is counted from the coronation of Cyrus the Great and runs 1180 years ahead of the Shamsi year.
