Farabi was called 'Second Teacher' as the most important logician after Aristotle (the First Teacher)! Born in Farab (modern Kazakhstan), he was a skilled oud player. Farabi claimed to have read all of Aristotle's works 40 times! His 'Virtuous City' inspired Islamic and European philosophers alike.
