Treaty of Erzurum (Second)

In this treaty, Mohammad Shah Qajar ceded the cities of Sulaymaniyah, Mandali, Naftkhana, and Khanaqin to the Ottoman Empire. This treaty was brokered by Russia and Britain.

Fun Facts

This was the Second Treaty of Erzurum (the first was signed in 1823). The 1847 treaty established borders between Iran and the Ottoman Empire, many of which remain the Iran-Iraq border today.
