Reza Pahlavi was in the US training as a fighter pilot when the revolution occurred at age 20. He is a trained jet fighter pilot. He married Yasmine Etemad-Amini in Egypt in 1980 and has three daughters. He authored "Winds of Change" about Iran's future.
